You MUST be at least 18 years old or older in order to receive a tattoo in the state of Texas. There is absolutely no parental consent unless it is a cover up of an already existing  gang related or inappropriate tattoo.

***Valid State or Government issued ID must be presented at the time of your appointment 

Solid Tattoo Numbing Cream Policy

Clients who choose to use over-the-counter numbing creams prior to their tattoo appointment at Solid Tattoo LLC do so at their own risk.

Solid Tattoo and its artists are not responsible for any adverse reactions, complications, or outcomes resulting from the use of any numbing products, whether applied at home or in the studio.

Please be aware that the use of numbing creams can make the skin more challenging to tattoo and may potentially lead to longer healing times, uneven results, or other complications. Our artists reserve the right to refuse to work on skin treated with numbing cream if it is determined that it may negatively impact the quality of the tattoo or your safety.

By choosing to use numbing cream, you acknowledge and accept these risks and release Solid Tattoo LLC and its artists from any liability associated with its use.

Solid Tattoo LLC Minor Piercing Policy

1. Age Requirement:  

  • All minors seeking a piercing must comply with state and local age restrictions. 

    ^Earlobe piercings starting at age 5 

    ^ Nostril and Helix piercings ages 12 and up

    ^ Other body piercings ages 13 and up

2. Parental Consent:  

  • A parent or legal guardian must be physically present for all piercings performed on minors.

3. Required Documentation:  

  • The minor and accompanying parent/legal guardian must present the following:

    • The minor’s original birth certificate (no copies or digital versions accepted).

    • The parent’s or legal guardian’s valid, government-issued photo ID.

    • The name on the photo ID must match the name on the birth certificate.

4. Legal Guardianship Documentation: 

  • If the parent’s name does not match the birth certificate, official court documents establishing guardianship (such as custody papers or adoption records) must be provided.

  • Alternatively, legal guardianship may be verified through the child’s school online portal, if available, with confirmation of identity through the portal.

5. Verification:  

  • Staff will review and verify all documents prior to performing any services.

  • Solid Tattoo LLC reserves the right to refuse service if any documentation is incomplete, fraudulent, or unable to be verified.

6. Other Requirements:  

 • Parent or legal guardian must remain present throughout the entire piercing procedure for any minor.
